Technology We Use

Care Line Live

Digital Technology for Better Care Delivery – Care Line Live

At Care Line Live, our goal is to use digital technology to improve working practices, reduce costs, and ultimately give carers more time to focus on delivering exceptional care to their clients.

Care Rostering and Management

Our digital rostering system enables you to match carers with clients effectively, ensuring both compatibility and continuity of care.

Carers can be allocated based on proximity to visits, travel efficiency, qualifications, and client-specific needs. The system also highlights compatibility between carers and clients, alerting you to any potential mismatches.

By considering factors such as travel time, visit clustering, and individual requirements, rostering becomes more streamlined, accurate, and efficient for everyone involved.

Carers are instantly notified of any updates, while clients and their families remain informed about scheduled visits. Changes to schedules can be made quickly and easily, saving time and significantly reducing the risk of human error.

Electronic Visit Records (Including eMAR)

All care visit data is fully digitised, including attendance times, task management, medication administration (eMAR), visit notes, health observations, concerns, and incident reporting—commonly known as Electronic Call Monitoring (ECM).

This supports improved care planning and delivery, reduces the risk of errors, and provides clear, accessible evidence for regulatory compliance.

Carer attendance is recorded via the Carer Companion mobile app, capturing check-in and check-out times alongside GPS location. Alerts are triggered for missed or late visits, incorrect locations, or visits outside expected timeframes.

Detailed task lists—including medication—are created for each visit based on the care plan. Carers must complete and record each task before checking out, ensuring accountability. Alerts are generated for any missed or incomplete tasks.

With a complete, real-time record of care delivery, agencies, carers, and families can have full confidence that the required care is being provided.

Health Observations and Reporting

Carers can record a wide range of health observations directly within the app, including blood glucose, blood pressure, heart rate, weight, and fluid intake.

These observations can be visualised for quick trend analysis, helping to identify changes in a client’s condition. Alerts are generated when readings fall outside expected ranges.

Updates are instantly visible to managers and relevant stakeholders through the Care Circle Portal, enabling timely intervention when needed.

Future enhancements, such as body mapping, will allow certain observations to be recorded visually for even greater clarity.

Notes, Concerns, and Incident Management

Carers can record notes across various scenarios to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

Handover notes provide essential information for incoming carers, while check-out notes summarise each visit for office staff and family members.

Concerns can be raised during task completion, observations, or note-taking, allowing care managers to take appropriate action. Incidents can also be recorded quickly and efficiently within the system.

GP Connect Integration

Through integration with GP Connect, Care Line Live enables secure access to relevant GP records, supporting more informed and coordinated care delivery.

This allows authorised care providers to view key clinical information—such as medications, allergies, and medical history—directly within the system. As a result, carers and managers can make better-informed decisions, reduce duplication, and improve communication between health and social care services.

This integration strengthens continuity of care and ensures that clients receive safer, more personalised support.

Care Circle Portal

Peace of Mind for Families and Professionals

The Care Circle Portal provides families and healthcare professionals with secure access to real-time information about a client’s care.

This includes medication records, completed tasks, health observations, and detailed visit notes—helping to improve transparency and build trust.

Key stakeholders, such as GPs and social care professionals, can access important client information, including contact details, medical history, visit schedules, and prescribed medication. Access levels can be controlled through role-based permissions.

The portal reduces the need for calls to the office by providing 24/7 access to up-to-date care information.

Emergency Access

In emergency situations, temporary access can be granted to blue-light services, allowing them to view critical care information, including medication and recent observations.

All access is securely logged, with identity and contact details recorded. Care Circle members are notified whenever access is granted, ensuring full transparency and control.
